40 Years Comes Down to the People Who’ve Called It Home

As part of our 40-year anniversary, we hosted a dinner this week.

We were celebrating some of our longtime residents.

Not everyone was able to make it, but we had a few of them there, which made it worth doing. These are people who have been here for years—some close to a decade, one close to the entire history of the place.

Here’s who we were recognizing:

Myrtle R. – 7 years 🥂
Fern G. – 7 years 🥂
Flo E. – 7 years 🥂
Tom G. – 8 years 🥂
Carol O. – 8 years 🥂
Jan R. – 8 years 🥂
Patty M. – 9 years 🥂
Linda H. – 9 years 🥂
Rosa A. – 10 years 🥂
Larry Q. – 39 years 🍾

Celebrating our 40th with our Long Time Residents

You don’t see numbers like that very often.

Thirty-nine years especially—it’s hard to even wrap your head around that. But even seven or eight years is a long time to stay anywhere. It says something, whether people talk about it or not.

The night itself wasn’t anything complicated. Just people sitting together who already know each other, picking up conversations like no time has passed.

That’s really the point of it.

After 40 years, you can talk about a lot of things, but this is the part that sticks—the people who are still here, and the time they’ve spent building a life in the same place.
